This double-disc refiner is suitable for the continuous refining of various types of pulp. It is primarily used to increase the freeness (degree of beating) of the pulp, meeting the requirements for fiber fibrillation and bonding strength essential for papermaking. The double-disc refiner distributes the pulp evenly into two refining zones. Through the axial movement of the rotating disk, the gaps in both refining zones can be adjusted either synchronously or independently. As the pulp travels from the inner to the outer periphery through these gaps, it undergoes a refining process between the stationary and rotating refining plates.

This double-disc refiner is equipped with disc advance and retreat device. An automated adjustment system—powered by SEW motors and gear reducers—enables precise, automatic control over the advancement and retraction of the refining plates. The double-disc refiner supports a constant-power control mode, which automatically adjusts the gap between the refining plates in response to minor fluctuations in pulp consistency or flow rate, ensuring consistent refining performance.
